IMPORTANT INFORMATION! Starting from 20.04.2024, withdrawals from named IBANs have been temporarily suspended.
What is a Named IBAN?
A Named IBAN is a virtual IBAN issued under your name. With our Named IBAN service, you can seamlessly transfer crypto to EUR or GBP through a straightforward payment to your bank account via SwapinGet. Additionally, it enables you to settle any EUR or GBP invoice using cryptocurrencies, with the recipient receiving funds in your name through SwapinPay. This functionality helps bypass banking restrictions, as traditional banks may exercise caution with crypto-related transactions originating from crypto platforms or payment providers.
How to get a Named IBAN from Swapin?
The Named IBANs will be offered by default, meaning there is no need to opt in. Named IBANs are available for both individual and business customers. For individuals, the Named IBAN service is offered for Basic and Full verification levels, not the Starter Level. For business customers, the Named IBAN service is offered for any verification level.

Do Named IBANs and vIBANs refer to the same thing?
Yes, in technical terms, Named IBANs are essentially virtual IBANs. They consist of a series of digits that uniquely identify the account to which funds should be directed, and issued under your name.
Which country does my Named IBAN belong to?
For customers from Switzerland, we issue GB IBANs. For customers from all other countries, we provide IE IBANs. This applies to both individual and business customers.
Can I turn off a Named IBAN?
Currently, named IBANs are automatically enabled for all Swapin customers who meet the following criteria: individuals residing in the EEA and Switzerland, verified as Basic or Full, as well as for all business customers. Once you apply, this feature will be activated by default and cannot be disabled. In the future, the Swapin team may consider adding an opt-in/opt-out feature for Named IBANs.
Can I use my Named IBAN as a banking solution?
Swapin provides Named IBANs exclusively for crypto-to-fiat payments initiated within the Swapin platform. Please note that we do not offer banking solutions, and Named IBANs cannot be used for transactions other than crypto-to-fiat payments facilitated through Swapin.
Which partner does Swapin collaborate with for Named IBANs?
This feature is made available to Swapin customers through our partnership with Fiat Republic and Clear Junction.
