We at Swapin maintain a secure and reliable environment for all our customers. As part of our commitment to this goal, we require the submission of specific documents for verification purposes. If you're aiming for Full or Full+ verification levels, one essential requirement is providing proof of address. This guide is designed to navigate you through the process smoothly, ensuring you understand what's needed for a successful verification.

What is Proof of Address?

Proof of address is a document that confirms your residential address, playing a crucial role in verifying your identity and establishing your presence in a specific location. By submitting an acceptable proof of address, you not only comply with EU regulations but also bolster the security of your transactions on Swapin.

Steps to Follow for a Smooth Verification

  1. Timeliness: Ensure your document is no older than three months.

  2. Clarity and Legibility: The document must be clear, legible, and unaltered.

  3. Complete Information: Make sure the document includes your full name and address. Both should match the details in your account profile.

  4. Submit Through Official Channels: Use the designated submission method or platform provided by the service. Avoid sending sensitive documents via email unless it's a secure channel recommended by the service.

  5. Follow-Up: After submitting your document, keep an eye on your email or account for any follow-up requests or confirmation of verification. Some services may require additional information or documents.

  6. Privacy Protection: Before submitting, consider redacting any sensitive information that is not required for the verification process, such as account numbers or financial details, to protect your privacy.

  7. Understand the Process: Familiarize yourself with the verification process of the service. Knowing the expected time frame for verification and any steps you need to take afterwards can help manage your expectations and reduce any potential frustration.

  8. Contact Support for Help: If you encounter any issues or have questions about the verification process, don't hesitate to reach out to the customer support team of the service. They can provide guidance and assist you through the process.

By following these steps and ensuring your document meets the necessary criteria, you can facilitate a smoother and quicker verification process.
