Swapin Transactions Limits

In this article, we will explain transaction limits for the Swapin App and how they are connected to your verification level. 

How Are Limits Calculated? 

Your limit starts when you make your first transaction. It lasts for either the next 24 hours or the next 30 days. This limit is not tied to a calendar day or month.

For example, if you make a transaction at 10 AM today, your 24-hour limit will end at 10 AM tomorrow. For a 30-day limit, if you make a transaction today, it will end at the same time 30 days later.

Swapin Limits For Individual Customers

The limits for your transactions as an individual Swapin customer depend on your verification level.

Starter Level Limits

This level gives you an opportunity to sell crypto to your bank account using SwapinGet. Both the crypto wallet and IBAN you are using should belong to you. You also can use SwapinPay as a product, but only for the same task - to sell crypto from your wallet to your bank account. Payments to someone else are not available on Starter level. 

Starter level offers you up to 4 000 EUR lifetime limit for selling your crypto. It doesn’t have a daily or monthly limit. Once you exceed this transaction volume, we will suggest you upgrade your verification to Basic or Full level. 

Basic Level Limits

On a Basic level you can sell crypto, pay with crypto and buy crypto. Limits are different based on a product you are using: 

• Selling crypto with SwapinGet or paying with crypto using SwapinPay will allow you to make up to 5000 EUR transactions per day. Monthly limit for using these products is up to 15 000 EUR. 

• Buying crypto with SwapinBuy has an up to 20 000 EUR daily limit and up to 35 000 EUR monthly limit. 

Once you exceed this transaction volume, we will suggest you upgrade your verification to Full level. 

Full Level Limits 

This level has no limits for transactions, but according to compliance rules a limit may still apply based on your source of funds. Read this article about how to provide source of funds info.

Note, that not all Swapin customers are eligible to apply for Starter or Basic level. We will offer you the verification level based on data you provided during KYC. 

Swapin Limits For Business Customers

For business customers, transaction limits are set based on the provided financial information during verification process.

The Dedicated IBAN feature is available to businesses who are EEA and Switzerland residents.

Transaction Volumes and Fees

Such products as SwapinPay, SwapinBuy and SwapinCollect have fees calculated based on transaction volumes. These fees apply to each transaction individually. Transaction volumes are not cumulated, this means each time you start a new SwapinPay, SwapinBuy and SwapinCollect transaction, a fee will be calculated based on a transaction volume, no matter what volumes you have already used for your previous transactions during a day, a month or a year.
